Fair Use Policy
How our unlimited plans actually work — in plain English
Our unlimited plans give you a generous daily high-speed allowance. Once you’ve used it, your connection keeps working — just at a slower speed — until midnight, when it resets. You’re never cut off, and you’re never charged extra.
The three rules
Usually 1 GB or 2 GB per day, depending on the plan you pick. Use it for whatever you like — streaming, video calls, big downloads, gaming.
Once you’ve used the day’s allowance, your connection slows (typically to around 1 Mbps). That’s still enough for messaging, maps, email, and light browsing.
The next day you’re back at full speed with a fresh allowance, until your plan duration ends.
What works on the slower speed
If you’ve used your daily allowance, here’s what to expect for the rest of the day:
Works fine
- WhatsApp, Messenger, iMessage, Telegram
- Google Maps, Citymapper, Uber
- Email and light web browsing
- Music streaming on standard quality
- Social media feeds (text and photos)
- Mobile banking and 2FA
May struggle
- HD video streaming (Netflix, YouTube HD)
- Video calls in HD quality
- Large file uploads and downloads
- Online gaming
- Tethering several devices at once
Why we have a Fair Use Policy
Mobile networks are shared. Without a Fair Use Policy, a small number of very heavy users could make the network slow for everyone else. By giving everyone a generous high-speed allowance — plus continued (slower) connectivity for the rest of the day — we keep prices low and the network reliable for all our customers.
The goal isn’t to limit you. It’s to keep things fair, predictable, and never end with a surprise bill or a sudden disconnection.
Where to check your plan’s exact figures
- Before you buy: each plan’s detail page lists the daily allowance and the throttled speed. Look for the “Fair Usage” section.
- After you buy: the same details show on your eSIM detail page in your account.
Common questions
Will my plan stop working when I hit the daily limit?
No. You stay connected — just at a reduced speed until the next 24-hour reset. You won’t be disconnected and you won’t be charged extra.
Does the slower data still count as “unlimited”?
Yes. There’s no cap on slower data — you can use as much as you need. The daily reset only affects access to the high-speed allowance.
When exactly does my daily allowance reset?
Every 24 hours, until your plan duration ends. Most plans reset at midnight in the destination’s local time zone — check the plan detail page for any plan-specific timing.
Can I top up to get back to full speed sooner?
Top-ups aren’t available on daily “unlimited” plans — the daily reset is built in. If you regularly need more high-speed data, a plan with a higher daily allowance, or a fixed-data plan with a larger bucket, may suit you better.
What if I think my plan isn’t behaving as described?
Get in touch with our support team — we’ll investigate. Speeds can vary by location, network congestion, and the device you’re using, but if something looks off we’d like to know.
